Sonali Singh

I grew up in a small town in Connecticut. Maybe it’s because time moved slower there but everything deeply interested me, from physics to philosophy to poetry. My parents, both PhDs, fostered a voracious love of learning. There was never any pressure to pick a lane. Cosmologist, freelance writer, classical pianist – I had wild ambitions and dreamed of each in equal measure.

As I got older, the world got bigger. My appetite to take it in never decreased. In college, I discovered a love for teaching while studying finance, creative writing, and math. I moved to Silicon Valley because I wanted to be in the epicenter of technology, which is, to me, the application of all human knowledge.

I started out at Morgan Stanley where I met brilliant people and understood what a good business could look like. Now, at Sequoia, I feel so privileged to partner with the founders who understand the trajectory of humanity and design for that future.
