In 2009, planning a conference, party, or get-together was an ironically painful process, considering the end result was supposed to be fun. When we met Kevin and Julia, we were drawn to the promise that their customer-obsessed software solution would not only solve a problem, but change an industry. After getting rave reviews from their earliest customers, we were so excited about their future that we literally couldn’t sleep. We couldn’t wait to sign the term sheet…which we did at a diner at 7 a.m. on a Saturday.
